Working with the CEO (Certification Division), the Finance Director will provide financial and broader business leadership to the Certification Division. 

What that means day to day

  • Leading the Certification business, adding financial insight and working hand-in-hand with the CEO (Certification Division). 
  • Overseeing the general day-to-day financial operations of the Certification Division, working closely with the CFO and other stakeholders within Alcumus’ Finance function. This includes working with the invoicing and cash collection functions to continuously improve the customer experience
  • Providing support with M&A, working closely with the Head of M&A
  • Reviewing and presenting monthly financial results (results, KPI analysis and forecast) to the Certification Division management and wider Alcumus Group leadership
  • Taking ownership of all financial planning and analysis activity for the Certification Division, including the annual budgeting process 
  • Leading on strategic planning initiatives to make the division more efficient and profitable, including identification of opportunities to change accounting policies and processes (e.g. to unwind deferred income faster)
  • Developing and maintaining models to track the sales teams’ performance and to establish the value link between point of sale and point of delivery
  • Enhancing commerciality through analysis and pricing of client day rates, and scrutinising auditor salaries and subcontractor day rates
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across Alcumus as required
  • Liaising with external auditors as required during the year-end audit


What you’ll need to be successful

What you’ll get in return

  • Accountancy qualification with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially in Excel)
  • Strong capability to examine data and draw insightful conclusions 
  • Experience of managing senior stakeholders in a corporate environment
  • Proven track record of building strong team relationships and setting and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Strong business acumen
