Management Accountant (9 Month Fixed-term Contract)

We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our team, reporting to the Finance Director. In this role, you'll hold responsibility for providing Business Units and the Finance team with month-end financials and supporting analysis, commentary and insight. 
This role will be a 9 month fixed-term contract with a possibility of extension. We operate a hybrid working environment, with some time spent working from home and some time spent in our Stratford-Upon-Avon office.

What that means day to day

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Provide timely and effective financial performance reporting and insight, underpinned by robust controls and processes  
  • Provision of advice, information and guidance regarding management accounting matters to senior management throughout the business
  • Ownership of analysis and insight for key business units, including monthly reporting packs
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required, including a focus on process improvements and automation, together with Budgeting and Forecasting support 
  • Month end results production, including journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analysis and commentary on business performance (financial and KPI) including commercial analysis and profitability reviews
  • Experience with product level balance sheet items including accrued and deferred income, bad debt, accruals and prepayments 
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel (familiar with complex formulas and data manipulation methods)   
  • Part or Recently qualified Accountant (open to ACA or ACCA or CIMA)
  • Self-motivated, resilient and able to demonstrate initiative
  • Analytical and commercially astute
  • Thorough, persistent & consistent
  • Proactive approach with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey information to key stakeholders  
  • Target orientated, a sense of humour and a desire to succeed
  • Adaptable and flexible in approach
