We're looking for a QA Manager to join us in Cardiff, overseeing the global QA Function. You'll have direct reports and will work with Development Managers globally to drive the standard and processes in which we test. You'll be someone with hands on experience across automation and manual testing, and will be the driver in how we do all things testing across a variety of technologies!


What that means day to day

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Leading the QA team in best practices, driving the implementation of the business strategy for manual, automated and non-functional testing at various stages of our agile SDLC; this is a partly hands-on role where you will be oversee the quality of the testers, help to improve scripting and ways of working.
  • Manage and mentor the QA team, providing direction and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
  • Cultivate relationships and respect for the QA team and work closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality products.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts by staying up to date with the latest QA trends and technologies, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team and across Alcumus.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on QA activities and processes, product quality metrics, defects, risks, issues and improvements to senior management.

What you’ll get in return

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes and how they support a software development life cycle.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, including team training and upskilling.
  • Expert automation and manual testing skills, and proficient in test management software such as JIRA, TestRail, and automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress and QTP.
  • Experience developing functional and non-functional tests: unit tests, integration tests, E2E tests, load / performance tests, security tests, smoke tests, etc.
  • Experience launching products supporting UAT And Beta programmes for product feedback.
