With responsibility for over 31 million people who make a journey on its network every day and a client of Info Exchange since 2013, we talked to Christopher Scott, Product Manager at TFL about their plans to utilise Info Exchange in 2019.

Chris, tell us a bit about your plans to use Info Exchange in 2019

This year is all about digitising our data, moving away from spreadsheets and paper-based forms we still have, so that we can start to build risk profiles across our network. Utilising Info Exchange for more than just Accident & Incident Reporting, Supplier Assessments and Improvement Actions is key to that, along with pushing out the technology to our operational teams and contractors to use.

Sounds exciting! So how are you planning to get started on with that journey?

"We are in the process of rolling out the new Dynamic Risk Assessment functionality within Info Exchange. Our health and safety teams have been working hard to build our library of risk assessment templates that will then be used and completed by our operational teams.  We are really hoping that it will not only help us build our data but also get middle management to take more responsibility and ownership for managing their risk."

What's next for TFL after dynamic risk assessments?

"We’ve got lots of exciting conversations happening with Toby and the team, from geo mapping to going mobile."
