Alyn Franklin - Chief Executive Officer

Alyn joined Alcumus in December 2015 as Chief Operating Officer and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in September 2017. He leads the management team, setting the strategy for the business and is committed to helping organisations create a safer, more sustainable world, which he has set as a clear vision for the business.

He has extensive business leadership experience within the Risk Management and Professional Services sectors. Prior to joining Alcumus, he was Chief Financial Officer at Santia and held previous senior management roles at Connaught PLC, Wincanton, Coors Brewers and Arthur Andersen. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer.

Gemma Archibald – CEO, Alcumus SafeContractor Division

Gemma joined Alcumus in April 2016 as Head of Operations for SafeContractor. In 2016 she was appointed as a Director of SafeContractor and in 2018 became Managing Director of the Accreditation and Commercial Division. In 2020, Gemma was appointed as Chief Operating Officer for the Membership Division.

In 2022, she was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Alcumus’ Supply Chain Division globally. Gemma is responsible for setting the transformation journey and growth strategy for Alcumus’ supply chain compliance and HR and Advisory solutions in the UK and North America.

Her previous experience includes senior commercial roles within National Britannia, Connaught Compliance and Santia Consulting and she has also led large scale transformation projects for The Royal Mint.

Jim Anderson - CEO, Alcumus ISOQAR Division

Jim joined Alcumus in March 2023 from Marston Holdings having worked there as Chief Operating Officer. He has previously held senior roles at Scan Coin Suzohapp, G4S and IBM, working across the UK and Ireland and spending five years in South Africa.

Jim is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the ISOQAR business, leading commercial and operational delivery in the UK.

Tim Jackson - Chief Financial Officer

Tim joined Alcumus in June 2019 as Chief Financial Officer after almost seven years at QA Ltd, where he held the positions of Finance Director and Commercial Director. Prior to this, he worked for Goldman Sachs and Grant Thornton, where he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

He is responsible for the Finance, Legal and Compliance teams with overall responsibility for financial planning, reporting and analysis, as well as the management of financial and compliance risk.

Tim has a Degree in Classics from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Val Rees - Chief People Officer

Val joined Alcumus in August 2018 as Chief People Officer following an illustrious career at Marks and Spencer, where she held numerous senior HR positions and leadership roles, latterly as Global Head of Employee Relations, Employee Wellbeing and Performance.

She is responsible for the people agenda to support business growth, driving employee engagement and making sure Alcumus is a great place to work.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development and brings over 30 years’ Human Resources expertise and experience to the team.

Katie Tamblin - Chief Product Officer

Katie joined the Alcumus Board in April 2023 as a Non-Executive Director. She provides support and guidance to the Leadership team on governance and product best practice. She brings to the Board deep expertise in tech-enabled supply chain compliance, with 20 years of experience supporting procurement and supply chain professionals. Prior to joining Alcumus, Katie held positions as Chief Product Officer at Achilles Information, Ltd. and Director of Supply Chain Solutions for IHS Markit.

Katie holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from Georgetown University and a BS in Mathematical Economics from Wake Forest University. She is a fully Certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS).

Chris Methven - Non Executive Director

Chris joined the Alcumus Board in October 2023 as a Non-Executive Director. He provides support and guidance to the Leadership Team on governance and Go-To-Market (GTM) best practices. Chris brings to the Board deep expertise in leading analytics, SaaS and services businesses in the Enterprise Risk Management and Supply Chain Risk Management space.

Chris is currently Chief Growth Officer at cyber analytics company CyberCube, prior to this Chris served as Chief Revenue Officer at Achilles Information Ltd, and Head of Global Sales and Alliances for the Operational Risk business at IHSMarkit, now Sphera.

Steve Malkin - CEO at Planet Mark

Steve Malkin is the founder and CEO of Planet Mark, an internationally recognised sustainability certification for all organisations and real estate, supporting the drive towards a net zero society. With pragmatic optimism and infectious enthusiasm, Steve has inspired organisations of all sizes to build a sustainable, brighter future for us and our planet, for more than a decade.

Since its inception in 2013, Planet Mark has led on carbon reduction by measuring its members’ carbon and social data with rigour so its community can report on their progress and initiate their journey to net zero with confidence and authenticity.
