A new survey from Alcumus asks, are your suppliers Safe and Ethical?

Businesses are under increasing pressure from consumers, their investors and government legislation to ensure working practices meet expectations for Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) factors. This could be tracking and measuring impacts on carbon, energy, and pollution; to providing assurance on working conditions, eradicating modern slavery; or working with more local suppliers to benefit communities.

Supply chains can account for more than 80% of greenhouse-gas emissions and more than 90% of the impact on air, land, water, biodiversity, and geological resources, for a typical consumer company, according to a study from Mckinsey. Therefore, a better understanding of your suppliers could have a greater impact in achieving your ESG and sustainability goals.

Alcumus’ survey is designed to understand the challenges of recording, analysing, and understanding ESG in the supply chain, as well as exploring the tools and techniques to address these challenges. This will act as an industry benchmark and provide organisations with insight on how ESG is measured in the supply chain.

Data from the survey will be anonymised and analysis of the results will be shared with participants through a whitepaper. Those taking part will be entered into a prize draw to win a luxury home cooking experience from Nico Simeone, or a donation to a charity of your choice. A winner will be chosen at random once the survey is closed.

The survey takes roughly 7 minutes to complete.
