The Business Development Manager role holds responsibility for successfully delivering new business sales targets through the creation, development and conversion of an active sales pipeline in a B2B environment. This is an independent self-gen business development role. Within reason, no limitation on sector or region providing opportunities fit within the business capabilities. 

What that means day to day

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the products and service offering to effectively identify and articulate solutions
  • Develop a targeted strategy to identify and win new business in line with annual targets
  • Identify and develop opportunities and close business through consultative engagement with the client
  • Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue to budget and produce end-of-month reports on revenue and market performance
  • Work with the wider team to ensure a smooth customer journey throughout the sales process
  • Ensure sales procedures are clearly defined and adhered to, including maintaining and keeping the CRM system fully up-to-date
  • Develop key relationships with the marketing team to ensure that the plan reflects and supports the direction of the service and the sector/territory requirements
