As a Data Quality & Governance Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring we pro-actively manage the quality, accuracy, and usage of our data assets effectively to drive efficiency and effective decision-making.

Working within our Data & Business Intelligence Team, you will embed the measurement and monitoring of data quality (and other associated data risks) across our Global platforms and facilitate pro-active and corrective activity to ensure data quality is managed. This role will also cover wider data governance elements over time.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Provision of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the overall quality of our data and track progress towards defined goals and objectives.
  • Creation of automated data quality reporting and ad-hoc data analysis to identify data quality issues across our platforms.
  • Facilitation of pro-active and corrective activity to ensure data quality is managed across our wider business.
  • Develop and implement data quality standards, procedures, and controls including regular assessments of data quality and definition of corrective measures.
  • Maintain a Data Issue & Risk Register and report to management on progress against agreed data quality metrics.
  • Evaluate existing and new data for accuracy, completeness, and usability to ensure appropriate use.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data quality issues and drive continuous improvement. To work with appropriate divisional and central teams to help drive data quality improvements and articulate the range of data available.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate data-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Support the development and implementation of data governance strategies, policies, and processes related to data quality and compliance (e.g. how data should be managed, stored, and accessed within Alcumus).
  • Support the provision of a governance framework to ensure that Alcumus data is being used in accordance with the defined policies and procedures.

Essential

  • Strong data analysis skills (SQL would be an advantage), Excel is essential.
  • Proficiency in documenting data quality rules, procedures, and reports.
  • Advanced knowledge in data quality and governance metrics and measurement.
  • Experience in a similar role with a particular focus on data quality.
  • Experience of using data visualisation tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
  • Excellent communication ability (verbal and written)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 


Desirable
