Are you a Solution Architect with experience of digital transformation and modernisation of monolithic platforms? Do you have experience in designing and implementing cloud, service, and event-based architectures? Are you someone who thrives acting as a mentor within the technical space?

We are currently going through a digital transformation, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the modernisation of our software and back-office technology.

We're looking for a Solution Architect who will work as part of our Architecture team with primary responsibility for designing and planning solutions to complex problems.

Developing and supporting the business in delivering scalable, timely and effective IT solutions will be your top priority.


What that means day to day

What you’ll need to be successful

  • You'll be a guardian of Alcumus’ systems architecture and principals, having an in-depth knowledge of them.
  • Translating technical concepts between software engineering, product, and operations so they are understood by all.
  • Working with business, product, and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into solutions.
  • Defining a technical roadmap through iterative transitions, aligning the user need with the system requirements and long-term organisational objectives.
  • Looking beyond the immediate technical problem and identify the wider implications by knowing relevant historical context and future impact.
  • Understanding how current work fits in broader contexts and strategies and looking for deeper underlying problems and opportunities.
  • Owning technical governance and participate in or deliver the assurance of a service.

What you’ll get in return

  • AWS or professional certification. Or are working towards one.
  • Extensive experience of working as a Software Developer with expertise in technologies including Java, JS/TS, .Net, Node, React, Ruby.
  • Skills or experience in DevOps, such as CI/CD or Infrastructure as Code.
  • The ability to converse in French.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
