Amanda (Mandy) Knowles is the Director of Red & Green EHS Services Ltd. She holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Management, a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and Chartered Membership with the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. She provides support to businesses across the country for environmental, health, safety and quality management through advice, auditing, project management, driving initiatives, policy and procedure writing and training. One of Mandy's biggest achievements was to develop and implement a safety culture programme within a national Maintenance and Repair organisation with 600+ employees. The year on year improvements within the safety culture and engagement of its employees helped her achieve back to back RoSPA Gold Awards for the organisation. Another of Mandy's accomplishments involved developing and implementing an Occupational Health and Surveillance programme for a construction firm who, prior to Mandy's appointment, had nothing in place to support or monitor their workers health. Mandy is ferocious with her passion for the environment; encouraging and supporting others to lead sustainable lifestyles, with a particular focus on zero waste and plastic free thinking. This passion led her to complete her Masters dissertation on implementing zero waste strategies in the maintenance and repair industry, of which the organisation she was working for at the time benefited from 100% waste diversion from landfill, reduced energy bills and the launch of a fully electric fleet vehicle. Mandy has always lived her life wanting to help others be the best they can be. Through her career as an environmental, health and safety professional she has always followed her ethos of wanting to help people go home from work in the same, or better state which they arrived in. Knowing that the work she does can help others stay safe, be healthier and more environmentally conscious is what drives her and gets her up ready and raring to go everyday.
